Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured across financial, procurement and order to cash workflows. Implementation work included configuration of core D365 modules, creation of functional design documents and user stories for the Helix AutoForce project, system integration testing and business testing with base test scenario templates and test scripts. The team implemented workflow engines for purchase order approval, invoice matching and approval, return to vendor processes, courtesy credits, general journal approvals, credit review and increase approvals, and write off approval processes.
The deployment incorporated multiple integrations and data migrations, explicitly migrating data from IBS on AS400 into D365 across development and test environments as part of the software development life cycle. FlintFox TPM was configured in D365 and data moved from IBS into D365 test environments, FastPath modules were implemented to enable business managed security role changes, and ISV integrations included Sable37 for credit and collections, SK Global for credit card payments, and Thomson Reuters ONE Source for tax. Accounts payable was configured through non trade procurement from requisition to purchase order, receiving into warehouse, AP invoicing and an AP Automation interface with banks for vendor payments.
Governance and operational control covered security and compliance, with customized security roles created to meet corporate policies and FastPath configured to allow business users to manage role assignments. The implementation included production support responsibilities that coexisted with project work and U.S. Venture designated the ERP analyst as the main point of contact for yearly disaster recovery exercises, sustaining operational readiness during and after the upgrade.
