In 2013, UBS USA implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support core ERP Financial operations across finance and cross-divisional booking workflows. The deployment was positioned to serve business users in a multinational firm with presence in 26 countries, and involved collaboration between Swiss developers and local functional teams to align requirements with technical design.
The implementation emphasized the FI module, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 customized through ABAP development to deliver ALV reports for financial tracking by cost centers and organizational units. Development work included BSP programs to handle booking rental cars and cross-referral ideas across divisions, BDC routines for data migration and batch input, BADI enhancements for bespoke business logic, and the use of IDOCS for system-to-system transactional exchange.
Functional consultants worked directly with ABAP developers to analyze client requirements and produce design documentation, governance included structured design reviews and issue resolution through conference calls and email with client stakeholders. Operational coverage focused on finance and divisional booking processes, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 acting as the ERP Financial backbone for those capabilities and ongoing application support handled through developer-functional handoffs.

| Wolters Kluwer | Legacy | Wolters Kluwer Passport | Legal Practice Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2010 | 2011 |
In 2010, UBS USA implemented Wolters Kluwer Passport, the Legal Practice Management application used by its global legal organization. The deployment targeted the central legal operations footprint, with the Centralized Invoice Process team and the global legal department designated as primary operational owners responsible for billing, accrual and matter spend oversight.
Wolters Kluwer Passport was configured to support core matter and spend management workflows, legal billing, budgeting and accrual processes, and invoice processing and auditing. The implementation included management information systems and analytics to support RFPs and law firm negotiation activities, and the Passport platform was used to instrument matter-level spend tracking and legal bill audit workflows.
Operational rollout emphasized coordination with sourcing and vendor management activities, including a vendor management framework executed in partnership with the sourcing team. The Centralized Invoice Process team processed and paid legal invoices while a dedicated legal bill auditing team of attorneys and staff conducted prepayment reviews, with the platform serving as the system of record for matter spend and vendor interactions.
Governance changes accompanied the technical deployment, with the Director of Legal Operations acting as lead business sponsor and managing the legal technology budget and approved matter management projects. The program implemented key controls to reduce operational risk within the central billing function, transformed the legal audit process and updated billing guidelines, and improved billing transparency and the MIS used to prioritize negotiations and manage contracts with law firms and legal vendors.

| Palantir Technologies | Legacy | Palantir Foundry | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 UBS USA deployed Palantir Foundry to build full stack analytics applications and data management pipelines. Palantir Foundry is the Analytics and BI platform used to support data engineering, dataset provisioning and operational analytics across UBS USA data and analytics teams.
The implementation used Foundry Tools such as Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Data Lineages, Workshop and AIP to construct operational applications. Teams developed write-back functionality using Palantir Workshop, built and managed data versions within the platform, and created User Interface applications and Palantir Foundry objects to expose derived datasets to business users.
Development work was collaborative with the internal Data Engineering Team to align on the ontology and the data pipelines that support applications. End to end data pipeline development relied on Python and SQL to derive new datasets, populate Foundry datasets, and materialize objects required by downstream analytics and operational workflows.
Governance was implemented through code repository driven development, data lineage tracking for traceability, and explicit ontology stewardship to enforce data model consistency. The deployment centralized dataset creation and versioning inside Palantir Foundry, reshaping workflows for analytics, data engineering and operational application owners within UBS USA.
