In 2013, UCare implemented AppWorx Workload Automation to orchestrate batch scheduling and job control as part of the AMISYS ERP upgrade from release 4 to release 6. The implementation targeted Business Process Management for claims and back office processing and centralized job orchestration across database and legacy processing components.
AppWorx Workload Automation was configured using UC4 chains to schedule job dependencies, trigger UNIX shell scripts, invoke Oracle PL/SQL packages, and call COBOL batch programs and suprtool operations, supporting claims adjudication, claims file processing, Encounters, HIPAA transactions, and baby merge activities for ICD10 compliance. Development work included object oriented PL/SQL types and classes, creation of complex SQL queries using left join right join and self join patterns, and testing of shell script jobs that generate data files to validate end to end workflows.
Integrations for the workload automation implementation included Oracle PL/SQL, COBOL batch processes, suprtool utilities, UNIX job control, and the AMISYS ERP application, with source control administered in Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS and project documentation maintained in SharePoint. Testing and governance practices incorporated scripted validation of jobs that invoke PL/SQL suprtool and COBOL components, and the AppWorx Workload Automation deployment supported the successful upgrade of AMISYS to version 6.

| Cisco Systems | Legacy | Cisco Webex Meetings | Audio Video and Web Conferencing | Collaboration | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, UCare implemented Cisco Webex Meetings. The deployment centers on embedding Cisco Webex Meetings on UCare's public website to provide browser-based conferencing capabilities for member-facing sessions and virtual engagement as part of its Audio Video and Web Conferencing toolkit.
The implementation uses core Audio Video and Web Conferencing capabilities such as browser join, audio and video streaming, screen sharing, host and participant controls, and meeting scheduling workflows typical of the category, configured to run within web pages and support authenticated and guest access patterns. Cisco Webex Meetings is configured to handle real-time media and meeting control within the site experience to streamline external virtual meetings and information sessions.
Operational scope is primarily outward-facing through the UCare website to support member engagement and customer service touchpoints, while also enabling ad hoc web meetings for internal collaboration where web-based conferencing is required. Governance emphasis is on web authentication, meeting access controls, and standard meeting administration flows, with the architecture centered on web-embedded Cisco Webex Meetings delivering audio, video, and screen-share sessions to site visitors and authenticated members.
