| JDR Software | Legacy | JDR Software Allocate Plus | Education ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, UNSW College implemented JDR Software Allocate Plus as a core component of its Education ERP architecture to support student administration and resource allocation. JDR Software Allocate Plus was positioned within a newly designed SaaS student management architecture that established a central authoritative system for enrolment, scheduling alignment, and operational rostering across the College.
The implementation configured Allocate Plus to support typical Education ERP workflows including resource allocation, shift and room scheduling integration, and administrative rostering, while complementary automation was introduced to reduce manual effort. The project team delivered configuration, custom macros to automate repetitive processes, and a custom self enrolment solution built on Power Apps to handle subject enrolment, variation management, and prerequisite enforcement.
Allocate Plus was integrated into a broader application landscape, with explicit interfaces and data flow strategies defined for StudyLink, Ready Student, Schedule+, My Equals, and Xetta, plus the Power Apps self enrolment layer. These integrations were designed to optimise data consistency between admissions, student records, scheduling, and external student services, supporting cross stream and cross institution dependencies required for fee supported student onboarding.
Governance and operating model changes accompanied the deployment, including establishment of a Design Authority and Three Amigos design forums, a formal PMO and PMM supported by SmartSheet, and a shift from waterfall to agile ways of working with Jira configuration and automation for delivery traceability. Outcomes called out in project records include enabling the College to operate as a higher education provider, streamlining project reporting and intake processes, and reducing operational workload through automation and process standardisation.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 UNSW College implemented Microsoft Power BI as a core analytics capability within a broader Microsoft BI stack, establishing an Analytics and BI foundation for institutional reporting and CRM analytics. Between April 2017 and December 2020 the program in Sydney Australia focused on building repeatable BI services and operating Business Intelligence Competency Centre resources to centralize analyst support and governance.
The technical implementation centered on Microsoft Power BI complemented by SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS, providing an end to end data platform for extract transform and load workflows, semantic modeling and enterprise reporting. Power BI dashboards and SSRS served interactive and paginated reporting needs while SSIS handled ETL and SSAS hosted analytical models, enabling consolidated datasets for analytics and CRM use cases.
Governance and operational scope emphasized creation of associated governance structures and processes to transition existing data services to a consistent and governed model, enabling UNSW Global to leverage multiple data assets for analytics and Dynamics CRM integration. The effort targeted analytics and CRM business functions and institutional reporting through a centralized BICC operating out of Sydney Australia.
