Functional coverage extended into student records and transfer credit workflows, and leveraged Campus Solutions 9.0, 9.2 and Fluid components for configuration and user experience consistency across recruitment and campus solutions modules. Integrations and extensibility were handled through bolt-on modifications and targeted integrations, with explicit functional analysis and support for report definitions, data sources, XML templates and advanced query manager artifacts. Portal and access control integration was part of the deployment, and the program maintained production support practices including incident management, root cause analysis and request fulfillment for ongoing stability. Governance and rollout were organized under a campus solutions business analyst lead structure, with five direct reports and coordination across more than 15 functional leads, supporting three institutions. The implementation included formal test plans, functional specifications, end user training delivered in classroom and WebEx formats, and a liaison model between developers and functional users to manage configuration, modifications and operational handoff.

The implementation focused on Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence capabilities, including installation and customization of Oracle's pre-built analytics applications. Functional work delivered HCM OTBI reports and dashboards using SQL bypass techniques, customization of HCM tree structures to enable more efficient drill down, and enhancements to OTBI and HCM security aligned to institutional requirements. The engagement incorporated ODI technical design and PL/SQL development practices to support EDW and reporting workflows. Integrations explicitly included Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Exalytics platform components, OBIA, Oracle Data Integrator and GoldenGate data movement, and PeopleSoft HCM as a source for Financial and Human Capital Management data. The environment leveraged Linux and Unix infrastructure and tooling such as SQL Developer and TOAD for development and administration. Operational coverage targeted Financial and Human Capital Management reporting across the university system. Governance and rollout work produced documented recommendations for solutions, configurations and architecture, BI implementation best practices, technical risk management and mitigation, and BI configuration recommendations. The project team performed capacity planning, performance assessment and tuning recommendations, technical research and discovery, and knowledge transfer sessions with internal staff. The engagement was managed with a core team of 5 and maintained weekly project plan updates to coordinate EDWBI Phase 2 activities. Concurrently, Microsoft Azure public cloud was used to provide IaaS support, including virtual machine provisioning, storage account and resource group configuration, and remote troubleshooting and deployment of applications. The effort resulted in a documented migration approach and a provisioned Oracle Analytics Cloud and ADW Proof of Concept, and delivered BI technical assessments and architecture alternatives to support the University of Texas System Analytics and BI needs.
