In 2019, Valeo Groupe deployed Yardi Job Cost as part of a construction accounting and project control stack for a start up enterprise that develops, constructs, and manages student housing and senior living with an internal general contractor. The implementation covered Yardi general ledger and job costing accounting system and Procore project management system to support financial close, billing, and project workflows. Yardi Job Cost was positioned to centralize Construction Estimating and job cost tracking across development and construction portfolios.
The deployment configured job cost ledgers, cost codes, budget controls, contract and change order tracking, and automated draw processing workflows within Yardi Job Cost. An automated draw process was implemented that reduced time needed for construction and development draw submission by over 300 percent and synced with the Yardi general ledger. Configuration emphasized ledger alignment and control points to enable timely postings from project activity.
Yardi Job Cost was deployed alongside Procore to align project management records and financial accounting, with draw submissions and cost updates synchronized to the general ledger. Operational scope included development, construction, investment, and property management accounting teams and the internal general contractor entity. The solution supported end to end workflows from estimating and commitment through billing and cost reconciliation.
Implementation leadership came from the Corporate Controller and Vice President who owned the end to end rollout, developed policies and procedures, and delivered project management software training for the general contractor. Governance focused on standardized draw submission processes, project cost controls, and role based accounting responsibilities across sites. The deployment centralized Construction Estimating processes in Yardi Job Cost and established project accounting governance for the organization.

In 2019, Valeo Groupe implemented Procore Platform for Project Portfolio Management to centralize real estate development project documentation and investor reporting workflows. The deployment positioned the Procore Platform as the primary Project Portfolio Management system used to compile and maintain project-level artifacts and progress metrics across the company.
The implementation focused on structured project charters that included LOI and contract terms, market data, maps, and a Project Viability Scorecard, and these artifacts were managed inside Procore Platform document and project records. Functional capabilities configured included document management, contract term recording and tracking, and report generation, with Procore Platform serving as the repository for investor progress reports built from construction and operations team inputs.
Market intelligence and geospatial inputs were integrated into the program level workflows using named data sources ESRI, NIC, Axiometrics, and College House to create market studies and maps that fed into Procore Platform project records. Operational coverage emphasized Real Estate Development projects and investor reporting, and the platform aggregated construction and operations data to support research reports on segments such as seniors and student housing, including topical reporting on COVID-19.
Governance and process changes centered on a standardized file organizational paradigm and templated project charters, with consistent procedures for recording and tracking real estate contract terms and maintaining research and market study artifacts inside Procore Platform. These governance controls aligned project-level documentation, contract management, and reporting workflows for Valeo Groupe, embedding Project Portfolio Management practices into development operations.
