Vector Technographics, Software Purchases, AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by Vector and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 1303 Vector employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that Vector has purchased the following applications: SAP ERP ECC 6.0 for ERP Financial in 2014, GE ADMS for Utilities Distribution Management in 2022, Chartbeat for Analytics and BI in 2017 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems Vector is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with SAP , Ge Vernova , Chartbeat or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing Vector revenues, which have grown to $411.4 million in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for Vector intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2014, Vector implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial system to centralize core financial and transactional processing across procurement, supply chain and warehouse operations. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 installation served as the primary ERP Financial application supporting procure to pay and material master workflows across the company and was positioned alongside Digital teams for ongoing application stewardship.
The deployment emphasized master data governance and procure to pay capabilities, with explicit configuration and operational ownership for material master records, access and security controls, and documented data standards. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was extended to support Warehouse Management and supply chain transactional processes, and internal SMEs were assigned for testing and process documentation to embed the system into daily operations.
Vector pursued system integration with an external 3rd Party Logistics provider during a May 2023 to June 2024 integration project, the project was halted due to system incompatibility which was documented by business SMEs. A concurrent SAP ECC Warehouse Management implementation from July 2023 to May 2024 used Vector subject matter experts for business testing, and produced process documentation covering Warehouse, Supply Chain Operations and interactions with 3rd Party providers. The environment has been managed with an eye toward a future SAP ECC to S4Hana migration, with collaboration between supply chain leads and Digital teams.
Governance and process transformation accompanied the technical work, focusing on curating and maintaining material master data, implementing data quality assessments, and developing documented data standards. Operational changes included access governance for material master records, coaching and training for SAP procure to pay users, and creation of process documentation to strengthen resilience within Supply Chain Operations and stakeholder relationships.

| Ge Vernova | Legacy | GE ADMS | Utilities Distribution Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Vector deployed GE ADMS from Ge Vernova on AWS Outposts using a hybrid cloud approach to increase scalability and automate deployment and testing. The deployment targeted Vector's Auckland area distribution network and served as an early cloud compatible ADMS implementation example in New Zealand.
The GE ADMS implementation focused on Utilities Distribution Management capabilities including network orchestration, automated deployment pipelines, and test automation to support operational scalability and standardization of grid software services. Configuration emphasized modular distribution management functions typical of the category, enabling centralized coordination of fault location, isolation, and service restoration workflows through the ADMS control layer.
Architecturally the project used AWS Outposts to provide local compute and control plane resources while maintaining cloud-consistent management and automation. The integration surface was centered on the Outposts environment and the GE ADMS control and orchestration layer, with deployment and testing automation built into the release pipelines to accelerate updates and validation across the Auckland area network.
Governance and operational changes included embedding automated deployment and test workflows into release processes for distribution operations and rethinking how to scale and standardize grid software services across sites. The program has been cited as helping Vector rethink scaling and standardization of grid software services and as a reference for cloud compatible Utilities Distribution Management deployments in the region.
