In 2018, Veracode implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to consolidate finance operations and support post-acquisition accounting activities. The deployment focused on ERP Financial capabilities, specifically targeting treasury and accounting workflows across the US headquarter and foreign entities.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to support treasury cash management, daily cash position monitoring, weekly cash flow forecasting, payments processing for wire and ACH, bank account management, bank reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. The implementation included establishing beginning balances in NetSuite and configuring reconciliations and reporting workflows used for the 2018 close.
Treasury operational coverage in NetSuite includes monitoring the companys daily cash position for US headquarters and foreign entities, executing and approving wire and ACH payments, management of domestic and international bank accounts, investigating and resolving cash discrepancies, and maintaining consolidated bank account listings and bank contact information. Accounting operations used Oracle NetSuite ERP to prepare account reconciliations and to review balance sheet support documentation during the transition following Veracodes acquisition by Thoma Bravo from Broadcom in November 2018.
Governance and process controls were implemented to require the treasury team to present weekly cash flow forecasts to senior management and to deliver monthly cash reporting. The accounting team reviewed all support documentation provided by Broadcom to ensure correct balance sheets for the 2018 close and configured the newly set up Thoma Bravo accounts inside Oracle NetSuite ERP as part of cutover activities.
Operational ownership rested with treasury and accounting, with Oracle NetSuite ERP serving as the system of record for cash, bank and reconciliation processes across the finance organization.
