In 2013 Veritiv Corp implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to establish a dedicated payroll sub ledger within its ERP Financial environment. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment focused on accounting and payroll financial workflows and aimed to centralize transaction posting and control within the ERP Financial application landscape.
The implementation configured a payroll sub ledger in Oracle E-Business Suite and standardized benefit accounting processes. Workstreams included mapping payroll posting rules to the corporate chart of accounts, harmonizing two previously separate benefit accounting practices into one consistent approach, and defining sub ledger accounting configurations to support period close and reconciliation workflows.
Integrations centered on transactional handoffs between the payroll sub ledger and core financial modules inside Oracle E-Business Suite, with operational coverage across finance and payroll functions. The rollout emphasized automated posting flows from payroll into general ledger related ledgers and established reconciliation touch points to support month end close and auditability.
Governance work included developing SOX controls for the new Oracle E-Business Suite environment, documenting control owners, and implementing segregation of duties and change management procedures. Control documentation and process changes were embedded into finance and payroll operating procedures to support ongoing compliance and audit traceability.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Veritiv Corp implemented Workday Benefits as part of its Benefits Administration deployment, establishing centralized security, reporting, integration analysis, and configuration ownership for the application. The Workday Benefits implementation was positioned to support cross-functional HR workflows and benefits administration capabilities while pairing system security with role-based access for managers and employees.
The deployment emphasized configuration of benefits-related security groups, creation and configuration of job profiles and codes, and automation through Enterprise Interface Builders. Teams built, tested, and promoted EIBs for reorganizations and recurring business needs, and consolidated and scheduled reports to automate work and decrease manual intervention across HR and payroll adjacencies.
Integrations were a core operational element, with the Workday Benefits environment interoperating with Active Directory, the corporate Data Warehouse, and VKS, and coordinating with Alight on the My-HR system to test and add components, update design, and link new web pages. Operational coverage included ongoing support to IT, Finance, HR Business Partners and Directors, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, and other business functions, and participation in talent management tasks impacting 8000+ workers within Workday.
Governance activities included monthly and quarterly audits to sustain SOX compliance, creation of training manuals aligned to security groups for managers and employees, and project leadership for ongoing upkeep of the Workday ecosystem. Reporting governance involved proactively building, modifying, and scheduling reports for business consumers, and consolidating or deleting unnecessary reports to maintain system hygiene and data accuracy.
Documented outcomes in the Workday Benefits implementation included inactivation of 2000+ unused cost centers via EIB, creation and configuration of new job profiles and codes, consolidated reporting, monthly headcount reporting for senior leadership, and updated Workday scorecards showing average time to fill and turnover rate. The team served as a key resource in resolving integration issues between Workday Benefits and downstream systems, and provided continuous configuration and reporting support to improve process accuracy across Benefits Administration.

| ECi Software Solutions | Legacy | ECI MAX ERP | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, Veritiv Corp implemented ECI MAX ERP, a Manufacturing ERP application. The program was led as a transition from one ERP system to another, with direct oversight of development and analyst teams charged with building the necessary integration and data interfaces.
Implementation work focused on core transactional and master data capabilities within ECI MAX ERP, including accounts receivable consolidation, item master management, customer master and ship to address synchronization, and pricing contract ingestion. ECI MAX ERP was configured to accept posted transactions and to support contract pricing workflows consistent with distribution and finance operations.
The technical architecture centered on an integration layer that received transactions from Oracle and posted them into MAX, and on bilateral interfaces for items, customers, ship to records, and pricing contracts. Teams wrote and operated those interfaces to ensure transactional integrity and to centralize A R processing into a single platform, while maintaining upstream transaction origination in Oracle.
Governance and rollout were managed by an internal lead overseeing developers and analysts, who coordinated interface development, data mapping, and cutover sequencing. The implementation impacted finance, supply chain, and commercial pricing functions, and it allowed the company to move to one A R platform as part of the ECI MAX ERP deployment.
