Operational processes integrated purchasing source documents, supplier invoices and bills of lading into landed cost validation and payable matching, with recordkeeping designed to support VAT on importation schedules and statutory filings. The implementation included procedural integration with the BIR E-Relief System to record importation VAT and to validate the Summary List of Importations for tax compliance, and it established audit-ready schedules to support external audit interactions. Governance and workflow restructuring standardized monthly reconciliation between subsidiary ledgers and the general ledger, established control points for physical count reconciliation and cost adjustments, and formalized verification checkpoints for accrued payables.
