In 2018 Vitamin Shoppe Panama implemented CitiXsys iVend Retail as a Retail Management application to support omnichannel operations during the retailer’s Latin America expansion, covering two stores in Panama and one store in Costa Rica. The deployment targeted improved in-store functions and automation, with an explicit focus on inventory visibility, stock control, promotions, and integrated loyalty to address previously fragmented engagement and reporting.
CitiXsys iVend Retail was configured to provide real time visibility into store operations and to centralize typical Retail Management workflows, including inventory control, purchase order management, pricing and markdown management, sales and promotions, customer management and marketing, employee management, and reporting. Store-level configuration enabled managers to manage prices and promotions centrally or by individual store, while point of sale and transaction processing were optimized for speed and accuracy.
The implementation included a seamless integration to SAP Business One so financial data and consolidated reporting remained synchronized and up to date across retail and back-office systems. Inventory status and transactional detail were made visible across the entire store landscape, delivering a centralized operational view for head office and multi-site coordination.
Governance and rollout emphasized a smooth, company-wide adoption with broad user acceptance, enabling head office access to critical management information and transactional data across multiple stores. Reported business outcomes included improved control over Latin America operations, improved inventory visibility across stores, enhanced customer engagement through integrated loyalty and promotion features such as gift certificates and discounts, and improved interdepartmental communication and synchronized operations.
