Yardi Legacy Yardi Voyager Real Estate Property Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Vitus Group, Inc deployed Yardi Voyager for Real Estate Property Management to centralize corporate accounting and enable direct property data uploads from third party property management companies through Yardi DAS. The implementation was driven to align property-level data ingestion with corporate financial processes and to standardize monthly reporting across the portfolio. The scope explicitly included consolidation of real estate assets across nine corporate entities and operational oversight for approximately 65 properties. Yardi Voyager was configured to support core accounting workflows, including full cycle general ledger processing, property trial balance workflows, entity creation and maintenance, consolidation rules, and the production of monthly cash basis combined financial statements and quarterly GAAP combined financial statements. Yardi DAS was instrumented to accept inbound uploads from external managers, and configuration work included mapping property trial balance formats to corporate chart of accounts. The deployment extended to controls around monthly close, variance analysis, and maintenance of supporting general ledger schedules. Integrations and data transition work included guiding third party property management companies through the move from Integratec to Yardi DAS, providing training, communications, and serving as the first point of contact for onboarding and data quality issues. The Asset Management team collaborated to build business intelligence reporting that combined financial and non financial data drawn from Yardi Voyager to support internal and external reporting needs. Operational coverage focused on corporate accounting, asset management, and third party property managers as primary data providers. Governance changes established during the rollout included a monthly review and approval process for property trial balances for 65 properties, defined ownership of new entity creation and consolidation rule maintenance in Yardi Voyager, and documented roles for supporting the monthly close and bank reconciliation activities. The project team also provided backup support for preparation of bank reconciliations and ongoing maintenance of general ledger supporting schedules. Training and communications for third party vendors were formalized to reduce data submission friction and to create a single point of contact for escalation. Post implementation activities explicitly included participation in FY2018 and FY2019 corporate consolidated financial statement audits with outside CPAs, facilitation of lower tier audits for approximately 65 properties, and ongoing support to the Controller for consolidated financial reporting. Yardi Voyager served as the system of record for consolidated real estate accounting and for monthly and quarterly financial reporting workflows across Vitus Group, Inc.
