In 2016 Vizient implemented Infor Lawson as an ERP Financial solution to support Item Master Services at its TX Irving corporate office, aligning product and contract pricing workflows with centralized product information management. The deployment focused on operational control of item master records, contract price accuracy, and day‑to‑day cleansing activities to support service level agreements and contractual KPIs across sourcing and contracting functions.
Infor Lawson was configured to manage item master management, contract pricing maintenance, product data standardization, vendor research, data categorization, price updates, and price discrepancy review and resolution. Operational processes emphasized daily root cause analysis of ERP product data, research and resolution of new and expiring contracts, and change implementation within members ERP systems, with tools and skills requirements including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Lawson knowledge. The implementation integrated workflows with internal groups Product Sourcing, Contracting, and Product Information Management, and established provider and supplier interfaces to increase internal and external provider satisfaction and ensure commitments to providers are met.

In 2013 Vizient implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR solution, provisioning a cloud based human capital management platform to support the organization’s approximately 5,000 employees. The Workday HCM deployment served as Vizient’s centralized HRIS, establishing a single system of record for worker profiles, organizational structures, and HR transactions across the enterprise.
Workday HCM was configured to deliver core HR capabilities including worker records management, organizational management, absence and time tracking, benefits administration, and talent management workflows. The implementation emphasized manager and employee self service for routine HR actions, and the Workday HCM data model was used to standardize job, position, and cost center dimensions for downstream reporting and operational processes.
Recruiting functionality was implemented using Workday Recruiter, with the applicant tracking system exposed on Vizient’s website to capture external candidates and to route requisitions into the Workday HCM talent workflows. The Workday Recruiter integration with the public careers site provided a continuous candidate intake path that fed into Workday HCM worker onboarding records.
Governance was organized around HR process standardization and role based security, aligning approvals, requisition authorizations, and hire workflows within Workday HCM. Change management focused on adoption by HR operations and talent acquisition teams, and the deployment established centralized HR governance and workflow controls to maintain data integrity and process consistency.

The deployment addressed fragmentation after a merger by centralizing work that had been spread across Workfront, Lawson, Microsoft Dynamics, Sharepoint, spreadsheets and home grown tools into a single Professional Services Automation system.
Kantata Mavenlink PSA was configured to provide core resource management and enterprise reporting capabilities. The implementation emphasized resource forecasting and visibility, so managers could see current assignments and future utilization, and it used Kantata custom fields to capture consultancy performance against member savings targets.
Operational coverage focused on Vizient consulting operations and the groups formed by the merger, bringing previously siloed data into a single source of truth. Reporting workflows were reengineered to replace manual Excel dumps and one off exports, enabling consistent operational reporting and shared decision data across teams.
Governance shifted toward standardized project and resource data definitions and a centralized reporting cadence, which established a common language for project success and member savings tracking. The solution enabled Vizient to forecast resources based on system data instead of intuition, and to quantify consultant contributions to member savings that underpin billing and performance assessments.
