IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations Peacock Engineering 2016 2016
In 2016, Volker Highways implemented IBM Maximo version 7.5 as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to support highway maintenance, street lighting, electrical services, road surfacing, traffic management and public realm infrastructure across multiple UK contracts. Volker Highways engaged Peacock Engineering to deploy and configure IBM Maximo for asset centric operations and to extend the platform into field operations for a mobile workforce of approximately 200 mobile work gangs and broader site teams. The implementation focused on core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities, including work scheduling and permitting, integrated work order management, workforce scheduling and formal job control. Peacock Engineering installed the Fingertip mobile add-on alongside IBM Maximo to enable vehicle inspection workflows, issuing work orders in the field, inventory adjustments and stock ordering from site, and to maintain a real time link between mobile activities and the central Maximo installation. Integrations and interfaces were delivered to meet Volker Highways specific operational requirements, including Traffic Management Act integration and custom interface design to support multi-contract orchestration. The deployment architecture combined IBM Maximo version 7.5 with the IBM MobileFirst enabled Fingertip mobile solution, providing online and offline synchronization to accommodate engineers who travel nationally and who may not always have internet access. Governance and rollout used a staged transition approach for the mobile workforce, moving crews onto the Fingertip solution incrementally to ease adoption and reduce upgrade risk. Peacock Engineering configured the rollout to provide staged training and cutover for 200 mobile work gangs, enabling the IT team to manage change, validate compliance during vehicle inspections and refine operational workflows before broader coverage. The deployment produced explicit operational benefits described by Volker Highways including extended Maximo capabilities in the field, improved compliance during vehicle inspections, ability to issue and update work orders on site, real time data currency in IBM Maximo and enhanced reporting and performance for mobile teams. These functional outcomes supported Volker Highways business functions in operations, fleet and inventory control, and contract delivery without introducing speculative metrics or financial claims.

Docusign Legacy DocuSign eSignature Digital Signing Content Management n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, Volker Highways implemented DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing solution embedded on its public website. The deployment targeted web-based signature capture for customer-facing forms and transactional documents used across its construction and real estate operations. DocuSign eSignature was configured to support embedded signing sessions, template-driven envelopes, signer authentication, and auditable transaction histories. The implementation used website integration and standard DocuSign API patterns to generate documents, present signing workflows in-browser, and persist signed artifacts to the organization’s document retention process. Operational scope concentrates on contract and approval workflows between Volker Highways, clients, and suppliers, bringing Digital Signing into procurement and project delivery lifecycles. Governance centered on enforcing role-based access to signing templates, maintaining signature audit trails, and applying retention and verification policies appropriate for electronic signatures.

OneStream Software LLC Legacy OneStream XF EPM EPM n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Volker Highways implemented OneStream XF as its corporate EPM platform to centralize finance and corporate performance management. The OneStream XF deployment centralized financial consolidation, planning and reporting across Volker Highways and the broader VolkerWessels UK group, enabling a single system for corporate close and management reporting rather than spreadsheet-based processes. The implementation delivered core EPM modules including financial consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, and management reporting, with configuration focused on unified data models and flexible hierarchies. OneStream XF was configured to allow business users to adjust data structures with a simple approach, supporting drill-up, drill-down and drill-back workflows for analysis and validation. Operationally the solution leveraged OneStream XF direct connection capabilities to integrate with ERP and other source systems, enabling users to trace reported figures down to summarized GL balances and transactional details and to view source records within originating systems. The deployment primarily impacted the corporate finance function, project-level finance teams and stakeholders such as the CFO and auditors, and supported analysis by project and contract type across the UK business units. Governance changes included mapping data into multiple management reporting hierarchies within OneStream XF and removing the need for a dedicated end-user to manually manage data feeds, which freed finance resources for analysis. Reported benefits included improved ability to analyze the business at project level, faster response to external and management requests, and greater confidence from leadership and auditors due to traceability from financial statements back to source transactions.
