In 2019 Vox Telecom implemented Synaq Security to secure its customer facing email services across South Africa. Synaq Security, classified as Secure Email Gateways (SEGs), was deployed to improve IT and email communications resilience and provide data redundancy for customer facing services.
Synaq deployed SecureMail and Archiving modules as part of the Synaq Security implementation, delivering cloud based email protection, phishing and ransomware defence, and compliant archiving. The configuration emphasized cloud hosted filtering and archival workflows, with SecureMail providing threat inspection for inbound and outbound mail and Archiving capturing retention and eDiscovery capable mail stores. The implementation leveraged SEGs functional workflows to centralize policy based filtering and immutable archival capture.
Operational ownership was concentrated in Vox Telecom IT while day to day infrastructure management and service delivery were offloaded to Synaq, creating a vendor managed security services governance model and centralized archival retention policies. The deployment strengthened Vox Telecoms product offering for customers and removed internal email infrastructure management burden by transferring hosting and operational responsibility to Synaq.
