In 2013, WanOptions implemented Oracle NetSuite CRM to centralize customer records and standardize front office workflows across its 25 person organization. The deployment targeted core CRM use cases, aligning customer data, opportunity tracking, and service case management under a single Oracle NetSuite CRM instance.
Configuration prioritized lead to order workflows, account and contact management, opportunity and pipeline management, activity and task tracking, and case management modules. Standard CRM capabilities such as role based dashboards, email activity capture, and basic campaign segmentation were configured to match small business sales and service processes.
The implementation used Oracle NetSuite's cloud native multi tenant architecture with a single organizational instance sized for a small business profile. Security and access were implemented through role based permissions and profile segmentation, while reporting and saved searches were established for sales pipeline visibility and service backlog monitoring.
Rollout followed a staged onboarding approach with initial sales team adoption followed by customer service and administrative users, supported by configuration of data fields, pick lists, and business rules to enforce consistent case routing and opportunity stages. Governance established data ownership and light change control for record schemas, with ongoing administration consolidated under a small internal CRM administrator function.
