In 2012 Warrens implemented ERA Environmental Management H&S as its Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) application to consolidate fleet safety, compliance and environmental controls. The rollout targeted Warrens Warehousing & Distribution Ltd fleet operations covering approximately 350 vehicles across five sites and two garages, aligning EHS workflows with operational and finance oversight.
ERA Environmental Management H&S was configured to support standard Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) capabilities including incident and accident reporting, risk assessments, audit scheduling, document control and training records, together with vehicle-centric modules such as inspection checklists, maintenance and repair logging, MOT scheduling and permit workflows. Configuration emphasis included OCRS score monitoring and O Licensing change controls to reflect the company requirement to meet DVSA obligations and internal H&S policies.
Operational integrations included ingesting vehicle telematics for driver behaviour analysis to feed driver safety records and maintenance planning, and structured data capture for fuel procurement, insurance claim workflows and P&L related expense tracking reported to the Finance Director. The deployment supported cross-functional processes spanning fleet management, operations, maintenance, procurement and finance with scheduling and compliance workflows running across all five sites.
Governance changes embedded with the ERA Environmental Management H&S deployment included formalized insurance risk management procedures, processes to reduce road traffic collisions, procurement approval paths for vehicles and trailers, and ongoing carbon reduction initiatives. Ownership and reporting structures routed compliance and financial control to the Finance Director, with site-level garage and fleet managers operating day to day within the new EHS framework.
