Sage Legacy Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Wasteco provisioned Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) to centralize core finance operations. Wasteco Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) ERP Financial deployment supported accounts payable, cash management, and month end close business functions for the companys multi division operations and corporate finance team. Configured capabilities included full cycle accounts payable, cash management, general ledger processing, vendor management, expense reimbursement auditing, and petty cash handling. Sage 300 ERP was used to automate bank transaction reporting, generate daily cash flow reports, post accruals and adjustments, and instrument month end closing workflows. Operational use was concentrated in the accounting department at the Toront o finance site, where an Accounts Payable Coordinator processed more than 150 invoices per week and monitored over 300 vendor accounts across divisions. The system produced monthly cost and price reports for major vendors and supplied bank transaction and cash flow data for senior management review. Finance governance was reinforced through weekly audits of employee reimbursement expense reports, formal documentation verification, coordinated month end close procedures with the controller, and recurring reconciliation of vendor overpayments. The implementation supported timely resolution of payment issues and vendor account analysis, and reportedly produced savings measured as thousands of dollars per month through improved vendor reconciliation and payment control.
