In 2016 Wasteco provisioned Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) to centralize core finance operations. Wasteco Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) ERP Financial deployment supported accounts payable, cash management, and month end close business functions for the companys multi division operations and corporate finance team.
Configured capabilities included full cycle accounts payable, cash management, general ledger processing, vendor management, expense reimbursement auditing, and petty cash handling. Sage 300 ERP was used to automate bank transaction reporting, generate daily cash flow reports, post accruals and adjustments, and instrument month end closing workflows.
Operational use was concentrated in the accounting department at the Toront o finance site, where an Accounts Payable Coordinator processed more than 150 invoices per week and monitored over 300 vendor accounts across divisions. The system produced monthly cost and price reports for major vendors and supplied bank transaction and cash flow data for senior management review.
Finance governance was reinforced through weekly audits of employee reimbursement expense reports, formal documentation verification, coordinated month end close procedures with the controller, and recurring reconciliation of vendor overpayments. The implementation supported timely resolution of payment issues and vendor account analysis, and reportedly produced savings measured as thousands of dollars per month through improved vendor reconciliation and payment control.

The Microsoft 365 deployment at Wasteco centers on Collaboration capabilities commonly used in the suite, including Exchange Online for corporate email, SharePoint Online for intranet and document management, Microsoft Teams for synchronous team collaboration, and OneDrive for personal file storage. Microsoft 365 is the primary Collaboration platform supporting communications, document lifecycle, and project coordination across the business.
Operationally the deployment was provisioned as a cloud SaaS tenant covering Wasteco's Canadian operations and the firm level business functions such as operations, project teams, finance and HR. The corporate website integrates Microsoft 365 hosted resources to surface authenticated content and collaboration endpoints for users.
Governance was organized around centralized tenant administration, with tenant level controls used to enforce user provisioning, access rights, retention and information classification policies, and to standardize collaboration workflows across departments.
