Operationally the Sterling Background Check process was coordinated in regular communication with Sterling Talent Solutions and multiple external parties, while onboarding data and I 9 documentation were entered into the HRIS UltiPro, creating a de facto integration point between screening results and the employee master record. The implementation supported HR onboarding across departments company wide and served as the authoritative verification step prior to entry into UltiPro. Governance focused on centralized HR ownership of the screening lifecycle, maintaining personnel files across the employee lifecycle with integrity and confidentiality, and establishing communication protocols for informing associates of personnel changes and onboarding status. Workflow responsibilities were institutionalized through the HR Talent Coordinator role, which centralized case coordination, vendor communication, and completion tracking for Sterling Background Check.
