In 2005, Waupaca Foundry implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial backbone for corporate accounting and plant-level transactional processing. The deployment targeted a centralized general ledger and accounts payable and receivable, while aligning financial flows with operational systems across payroll, HR, purchasing, casting inventory, sales and shipping.
Implementation work was executed by internal SAP configurators and IBM i application developers who configured core financial ledgers, AP and AR posting rules, cost accounting constructs and interfaces to payroll and HR modules within SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The configuration scope included mapping casting inventory and procurement workflows into SAP transactional processes and establishing consistent master data for GL accounts, vendors and materials.
Operational integration preserved IBM i systems for plant-specific applications, with bi-directional data exchange for production and casting inventory feeding SAP financial transactions, and AS 400 journaling used historically for on-premise disaster recovery. Operational coverage encompassed finance, IT, HR, production and plant operations across the foundry environment, with plant floor and corporate systems coordinated through joint support teams.
Governance was formalized through the Business Technology Steering Committee and the IT Management Staff, with SAP Configurators and IBM i developers responsible for ongoing configuration, security and release planning. Senior management engagement and periodic strategic planning meetings were used to prioritize system changes and align SAP ERP ECC 6.0 activity with business process owners.

| Arcoro | Legacy | Arcoro ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Waupaca Foundry deployed Arcoro ATS as its Applicant Tracking System and embedded Arcoro ATS onto the company careers site to capture candidate applications directly from the corporate website. The public site integration placed the Applicant Tracking System at the front end of recruiting, routing applicant data into centralized workflows for review and processing.
The implementation centered on standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including job requisition management, applicant tracking and candidate lifecycle management, resume intake and parsing, interview scheduling, and automated applicant communications. Configuration work focused on career site form mapping, requisition templates, role-based recruiter permissions, and workflow automation for candidate status transitions.
Operational ownership rested with Waupaca Foundry talent acquisition and human resources teams, using Arcoro ATS to centralize candidate records and standardize hiring procedures across recruiting functions. The deployment supported recruiter activity, hiring manager approvals, and HR operations by consolidating applicant data that originated from the embedded careers portal.
Governance included configuring approval workflows and recruiter roles to align hiring steps with corporate HR policy, and designing data capture and reporting structures within Arcoro ATS to support ongoing recruiting operations. The narrative reflects Waupaca Foundry, Arcoro ATS, Applicant Tracking System and recruiting functions as the core relationship implemented in 2019.
