The engagement targeted core financial consolidation for a motorway services operator with 27 sites, 5,000 employees and continuous 24 by 7 operations, framing the implementation around the finance organization and adjacent HR touchpoints.
The implementation emphasized configuration of the General Ledger and New Asset Accounting with the Universal Journal as primary modules, following SAP best practices. Business process owners and subject matter experts were engaged to drive process reengineering, mapping legacy finance workflows into S/4 HANA Simple Finance 1610 configuration and validation cycles.
Data migration and technical cutover used HANA Cockpit to migrate data from ECC to HANA, including migration and post migration activities to validate transactional and master data. The project included Fiori user experience work, defining user-based Fiori tiles with a Fiori consultant, and an integration scope that connected SuccessFactors with the HANA environment to support HR related data flows.
Operational rollout covered end user enablement and production support, with preparation of end user training manuals, training materials, and Fiori-focused end user trainings. Go live and go live support were provided under the HANA Activate approach, and governance was enforced through collaboration with business process owners and SMEs to stabilize finance operations on SAP S/4 HANA.
