In 2023, West Fraser migrated Oracle Financials from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP. Oracle Cloud ERP is deployed as an ERP Financial application to automate accounts payable, taxation, payments, general ledger, workflow orchestration, and month end close across the finance organization.
The implementation emphasizes Procure to Pay and core financial modules, with configuration and functional ownership of Accounts Payable, Payments, Cash Management, and General Ledger. Payments module configuration and automation of invoicing, taxation, and payment processing were explicit deliverables. Data conversion and migration activity used the File Based Data Import FBDI method to load external financial data into Oracle Cloud ERP.
Architecturally the project moved Oracle Financials from an on premise Oracle E-Business Suite footprint into Oracle Cloud ERP, consolidating finance and treasury process execution in the cloud. Operational coverage targeted finance and accounting functions, specifically accounts payable, cash operations, and month end close workflows.
Project governance included creation and maintenance of functional design documentation, system configuration controls, and solution development artifacts during rollout. Test governance encompassed preparation of comprehensive test scripts and oversight of Technical User Testing TUT, System Integration Testing SIT, and User Acceptance Testing UAT to validate configurations and data migrations. The narrative positions West Fraser Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial as the central finance system supporting automated P2P and general ledger controls.

In 2020, West Fraser implemented UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) for Core HR. The UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) deployment serves as the centralized HRIS for the organization and is surfaced via corporate web access to provide employee and manager self service across HR and payroll functions.
The implementation emphasizes Core HR capabilities including employee master data management, benefits administration, onboarding and talent administration, payroll processing interfaces, and standardized reporting for compliance. Configuration work focused on role based access controls, employee and manager self service workflows, and consolidated HR reporting to replace distributed personnel processes.
Operational integration includes corporate single sign on using Microsoft authentication flows, which is evidenced by web federation behavior to the UKG Pro HCM portal. Governance was structured around HR data stewardship and centralized administration to support consistent record keeping across West Fraser, with the application positioned as the primary source of core employee information.

| Equifax | Legacy | Equifax Unemployment Cost Management | Insurance Claims Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 West Fraser implemented Equifax Unemployment Cost Management to centralize Insurance Claims Management for unemployment filings and adjudication. The Equifax Unemployment Cost Management deployment was positioned within HR and staffing operations to handle all unemployment claim work recorded by West Fraser personnel, aligning claims activity with existing hiring, separation, and attendance processes.
The implementation emphasized core unemployment claims processing capabilities, including claims intake and administration, correspondence and appeals tracking, document retention and case management, and reporting for chargeback visibility. Equifax Unemployment Cost Management was configured to support routine claims workflows used by HR teams, staffing coordinators, and plant management, and to produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports used for operational and corporate review.
Claims handling via Equifax operated alongside payroll and HR transactions maintained in UltiPro, with claims workflows coordinated with pay changes, status updates, and benefit enrollment records that HR continued to process in UltiPro. The operational scope included HR, staffing, and plant management functions across West Fraser locations in the United States and Canada, while FML cases remained managed through third party administrators and other HR casework such as I-9 verification and background checks continued as separate processes.
Governance around unemployment claims was embedded into existing HR workflows, including maintenance of recall lists for displacements, tracking of attendance and disciplinary actions, and routine reporting for attrition and claim reason trends. The deployment preserved confidentiality of employee records in compliance with HIPAA and aligned claims handling with site level orientation, staffing coordination, and leadership development activities.
