In 2020 West Marine implemented RadiusOne AR Suite from HighRadius to automate accounts receivable processes in the AR Automation category. The project objective was to establish an online payment system for wholesale customers while automating the process of receiving bank payments.
Implementation centered on RadiusOne AR Suite modules for online payment acceptance, automated payment receipt, payment posting, and cash application workflows. The iSeries development and QA team performed data mapping and developed interface programs for incoming and outgoing payment data to support end to end payment processing. Configuration and design artifacts included written functional specifications and technical specifications together with reviews of the vendor Business Solution Requirements and vendor Integration Solution Requirements.
The deployment architecture included interface-level integration with the JDA Accounts Receivable system to validate payment posting and ensure accounting accuracy. Cross functional coordination involved Engineering, Networking, Operations, Service Desk, and other development teams to support enterprise interfaces and production support. Operational scope focused on wholesale customer payment workflows and the accounts receivable function within finance.
Governance and rollout relied on formal test plans, user acceptance testing with business users, and a deployment runbook created for enterprise projects. Post go live responsibilities included production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and coordination with the vendor for any change requests. The implementation emphasized AR Automation capabilities such as payment posting, cash application, reconciliation, and interface orchestration.
