In 2020 Western Alliance Bank implemented FIS Integrated Payables to extend its AP Automation capabilities across digital payment channels. FIS Integrated Payables was provisioned as a central payment orchestration layer to support accounts payable and electronic payment workflows tied into the bank's digital operations.
The implementation was configured to process both file based and API driven payment flows, leveraging SFTP file management and API connectivity that are noted in operations. Configuration emphasized payment initiation, file ingestion, and electronic payment routing, and was validated through formal user acceptance testing and product enhancement testing routines.
FIS Integrated Payables was deployed to operate alongside existing banking systems including FIS BST, BEB, CEB, Fiserv EPP, VolPay, and the FIS IBS core, enabling end to end payment movement between online banking, wire systems, and the AP Automation layer. Operational coverage was centered in Digital Banking Operations, with monitoring of online banking, the EPP Wire System, and VolPay on a 10 minute interval, and integration into CRM workflows for case creation and wire research.
Governance incorporated Level 2 and Level 3 support responsibilities, change management for product enhancements, maintenance of logs for issues and defects, and coordination with Product, Marketing, Training, audit, and management teams. The rollout included conversion processes for existing and acquired customers into the new payment tooling and ongoing vendor supported troubleshooting and internal application management.

In 2017, Western Alliance Bank implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR solution to centralize human resources data and standardize HR operations for an employee base of 3,701. The deployment established Workday HCM as the system of record for employee master data and organizational structure across the bank.
The implementation configured core HR modules including personnel records, position and organization management, absence and time tracking, benefits enrollment, and talent and performance workflows. Business processes were modeled for the hire to retire lifecycle, with configurable business process rules and role-based security to automate approvals and ensure traceability of transactions within Workday HCM.
Operational scope focused on HR and people management functions, standardizing recordkeeping and reporting to support HR service delivery and manager self-service. The architecture was designed to be integration ready, supporting typical Core HR extension points and secure data exchange patterns used in enterprise HR landscapes.
Governance emphasized data stewardship, configuration standards, and change control to manage ongoing updates to HR models and business processes. The rollout approach used staged configuration, testing, and cutover controls to align HR operations and workflows with the deployed Workday HCM environment.

In 2018, Western Alliance Bank implemented Oracle Analytics Cloud to establish a cloud-based Analytics and BI platform that could unify financial reporting and enable drill-through analysis to transaction-level detail. The deployment followed a proof of concept using the bank's own data, validating Oracle Analytics Cloud against the finance team's success criteria before full rollout.
The implementation delivered a self-service reporting model composed of four conformed subject areas, enabling facilitated linking and drill-down across Planning, Financial Information Systems, Loan Accounts, and Deposit Account domains. The Planning model was explicitly sourced from Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service PBCS, and the reporting model was configured to support ten dimensions including Company, Cost Center, GL Account, Scenario, Customer, and Time. The project produced 10 custom reports that passed discovery, design, development, and user acceptance testing, and it implemented automated data transformation and upload processes into Oracle Analytics Cloud.
Architecturally the solution was provisioned on Oracle Analytics Cloud and accelerated using a repeatable quick start services approach to shorten time to value, while accommodating connections to PBCS and critical ERP financial data. A fully functional POC demonstrated features and functionality prior to production adoption, and dashboards within Oracle Analytics Cloud were configured to refresh automatically with the latest financial information.
Governance and operational change emphasized finance-led maintenance and extension of the platform, reducing dependency on IT and transforming collaboration among analysts into a self-service reporting capability. The implementation partner shaped visualization design and story flow to shift reporting away from grid-like outputs toward narrative dashboards that surface important insights for financial planners.
Western Alliance Bank’s Oracle Analytics Cloud deployment established a modern, robust, and extensible financial analytics platform for the finance organization, delivering self-service reporting, automated data ingestion, and refreshed dashboards that support ongoing analysis and planning within the Analytics and BI scope.
