In 2015 Wiggle implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of a Capability Upgrade Programme, deploying solutions categorized as ERP Financial to centralize finance and merchandising financial planning. The initiative was accountable to the CEO and focused on the design, build, deployment and embedding of an integrated Oracle stack across middle office, back office and business intelligence layers.
The implementation delivered Oracle Retail as the Middle Office, Oracle Merchandise Financial Planning for assortment and financial planning workflows, Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials for Back Office financial management, and Oracle BI for reporting and analytics. Configuration work emphasized finance and merchandising functional alignment, standardization of financial controls, and the automation of planning and financial consolidation processes consistent with ERP Financial capabilities.
Operational architecture connected merchandising, financials and BI to create a single data and reporting backbone, with the CUP Team managing day to day delivery alongside Training and System Integrator Partners. Programme governance explicitly covered the workstreams of People, Process, BI, Data, Applications and Infrastructure, ensuring technical implementations were accompanied by training and system adoption activities.
Governance and stakeholder management were central to rollout, with the CUP Team directing simplified business processes and controls and coordinating programme workstreams to embed the new applications. The programme intended to enable Wiggle to achieve its strategic objectives by unifying Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial systems across finance and merchandising functions and institutionalizing tighter process and data governance.
