In 2019, William Hill implemented Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable as an AP Automation initiative to centralize accounts payable and purchase to pay operations. The program was led by a Purchase to Pay Process Design Lead for Oracle Fusion Cloud and focused on process design, documentation, and operational readiness across finance and procurement.
The implementation delivered core process design and documentation workstreams, including Standard Operating Procedures and desk guides, As Is and To Be process mapping using Tibco Nimbus, and a strategy document for business readiness that included data cleansing planning. The team produced a paper outlining P2P controls for the Internal Audit department and authored end to end testing scenarios and User Acceptance Testing scripts to validate Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable workflows.
Operational execution included interview, selection, and stand up of an 11 strong Accounts Payable Team for a new Shared Service Center, training and rollout of Oracle Fusion Cloud processes to that team, and delivery of training to wider business populations including staff in Manila. The project also established an interim control compliant supplier registration process in collaboration with Finance and Procurement until the automated Oracle solution reached go live, and provided after go live hypercare and service desk support for end users.
Governance and change activities encompassed business sign off of To Be processes, creation and delivery of multiple change management workshops, and formalization of SOPs and desk guides for ongoing operations. The engagement reported a successful roll out of Oracle Fusion to the new Accounts Payable Team while maintaining structured controls and operational support during hypercare.
