In 2016 Wing Yip implemented SAP Business One as its core ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted the group’s four UK sites in Birmingham, Manchester, Croydon and Cricklewood, supporting the company’s Cash and Carry and business centre operations that manage more than 4,500 stocked products.
The SAP Business One implementation focused on core financial management and transactional workflows typical of the ERP Financial category, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and sales order processing, together with inventory valuation and product master management for multi-site stock control. Configuration work emphasized multi-site costing and chart of accounts alignment to consolidate financial reporting across the group.
Operationally the SAP Business One instance was integrated with Korber WMS to align warehouse transactions with financial and inventory records. That integration enabled synchronized inventory movements, receipts and dispatch workflows across the company’s distribution and retail sites, extending the ERP Financial footprint into procurement, inventory management and distribution functions.
Governance and rollout centralized master data and financial controls to standardize order to cash and purchase to pay processes across the four sites, and the combined SAP Business One and Korber WMS environment provided Wing Yip with an integrated operational and financial platform. Wing Yip benefited from Korber WMS and SAP Business One as the foundational systems supporting its retail and wholesale operations.
