| Infor | Legacy | Infor LN | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Wittur India implemented Infor LN Manufacturing ERP to centralize core processes across its plant operations. The deployment targeted sales, planning, production, quality, logistics and finance functions at the Wittur Elevator Components India plant, and was positioned as a benchmark implementation for other global plants using standard processes and no customizations.
The implementation configured O2C sales process automation in Infor LN covering sales quotation to sales order conversion, sales order acknowledgement and automated sales invoice emailing, and included a sales price control workflow that triggers when price masters are missing. P2P process controls were introduced with purchase requisition, purchase order and receipt flows for cost and service items mapped to ledger accounts, and system checks to prevent duplicate supplier invoices during GRN processing. Shop floor control was implemented through Factory Track with barcode scanning and label printing tied to server components, while finance modules including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and fixed assets were put into production with a planned phase out and data migration from Tally.
Integrations and technical architecture focused on secure point to point connections and API links, including host to host supplier payment automation using SFTP to the bank server and an API integration to the government portal for e invoicing which was completed within two days. The Infor LN implementation was integrated with local reporting systems and third party supplier and customer portals, and team members performed hands on SQL queries to support data access and reporting. Infrastructure work included high availability server and network architecture to maintain system uptime and monitored backup processes.
Governance and process controls were formalized inside Infor LN with workflows for purchase contracts and purchase orders enforced by an authority matrix, sales price matrices and business partner master data governance. Local IT governance reported through a dual structure to the global CIO and the local CFO, with weekly alignment to global projects, ServiceNow driven local helpdesk operations, IT asset management and documented site procedures for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Explicit operational outcomes reported during and after the Infor LN rollout included a reduction in sales lead time from 15 days to 7 days through O2C automation, production line cycle time improvements with scanning efficiency moving from five minutes to one minute per part, zero unplanned downtime on production systems through infrastructure changes, zero network drop incidents after introducing high availability, and an award for Best Business Process Improvement.
