| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Woodlands Health Campus implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to establish core ERP Financial capabilities for the new hospital program. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment was planned during pre operation, pre assessment and procurement and was one component of a broader program managing more than 20 systems in preparation for the campus opening in 2021.
The implementation concentrated on SAP FICO as the primary financial module, alongside hospital specific and administrative modules identified as ISH, MM and HRIS. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to support general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, procurement and inventory posting workflows, and personnel master data and payroll interfaces consistent with ERP Financial functional expectations.
Planned integrations included clinical and ancillary systems that were part of the program scope, specifically pharmacy systems, laboratory systems, radiology system, cardiology system, dental system and an enterprise content management system. The implementation narrative positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the financial and master data hub for cross system posting and reconciliation across those clinical and back office applications.
Governance and program management were led by a lead analyst from IHiS responsible for IT planning and program oversight, liaison with cross functional business users and project teams, and maintaining communication across stakeholders. Budgetary control for pre assessment tasks was monitored within Ministry of Health approved funding, with CAPEX of $1.2M and OPEX of $4M, and the program included resource assignment tracking, work plan scheduling and regular project status updates to support rollout readiness for the Woodlands Health Campus.
