Byrne Bros Construction and Real Estate 450 $134M United Kingdom The Access Group Access Coins Plant Manager Plant Maintenance 2018 n/a
In 2018 Byrne Bros implemented Access Coins Plant Manager from The Access Group as a Plant Maintenance solution to address asset control across its consolidation centre and field sites. The deployment targeted Byrne Bros seven acre Mitcham consolidation centre that supplies Plant and Materials and Warehouse and Distribution services to most construction sites, and addressed visibility gaps across more than 1,300 pieces of equipment. The implementation combined the COINS Plant Manager module to automate the Issue and Return of plant, stock and equipment with AssetTagz RFID technology to create a mobile asset management solution. Access Coins Plant Manager was configured to record issuance and returns, maintain asset master data and support inventory reconciliation workflows typical of Plant Maintenance systems, while RFID tagging delivered near real time location and status signals. Architecturally the solution integrated RFID-enabled capture at the consolidation centre and at site with the COINS Plant Manager application to centralize asset records and transactional histories. Data flows supported site issue and return transactions, warehouse stock control and distributed equipment tracking, extending Plant Maintenance processes from the hub into on site operations. Governance and process changes centered on enforcing automated issue and return workflows, centralized visibility for Plant and Materials and revised warehouse distribution checks. The combined Access Coins Plant Manager and AssetTagz RFID approach was intended to improve Byrne Bros ability to manage, track and get visibility of assets and to contribute to improved profitability and customer service as stated by the customer.
