In 2018 Cortem deployed ACGI Job Scheduler as a Project Portfolio Management system to centralize planning across the Cortem Group production footprint. The implementation targeted group order planning for Cortem and ELFIT at the Villesse site and nearby FRI jobs, bringing order orchestration under a single scheduling tool to coordinate technical negotiations, procurement and machining, internal and external assembly, and shipping timelines.
ACGI Job Scheduler was configured to support order level scheduling, workload balancing across labor centers, subcontractor capacity monitoring and production progress reporting. Functional capabilities emphasized project tracking for major orders, procurement coordination and documentation review workflows, enabling the team to account for production and planning progress through structured reports used in weekly review meetings.
The deployment operated alongside existing enterprise systems and data sources in the environment, including AS400 management software, ACG VISION 4 IBM platform for production planning and scheduling control, BOARD 8 business intelligence software, J-FLEX production planning and control, Microsoft SQL Server and AutoCAD. Integrations with these systems consolidated master data, scheduling inputs and BI reporting feeds to support end to end production planning and supply chain project visibility.
Governance was formalized through a Project Office that monitored major projects from technical development and material procurement to production and testing, and through a weekly planning meeting chaired by the planner with attendance from all department heads and the group chief operating officer.
