IFL Group | Transportation | 200 | $47M | United States | Collins Aerospace | Collins ARINCDirect FOS | Flight Management | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016 IFL Group deployed Collins ARINCDirect FOS to support Flight Management across maintenance and operations functions for its Bombardier CRJ 200SF aircraft. The engagement centered on system configuration and operationalization, with explicit emphasis on CASS administration and aircraft records management for first-of-type fleet support.
Implementation work included construction of a Bombardier CRJ maintenance tracking and records database tied to Collins ARINCDirect FOS, configuration of CASS administration functionality, and development of Crystal Reports for operational reporting. IFL Group staffed a CASS Subject Matter Expert to lead configuration and to train software users across multiple departments, embedding workflows for maintenance data capture, traceability, and reporting within the Flight Management application.
Integrations and operational coverage were focused on ensuring report compatibility and data sharing with Rockwell Collins FOS and Continuum Corridor Aviation Systems, reflecting cross-system reporting and operations support. Deployment architecture combined on-aircraft maintenance records capture for the CRJ 200SF with ground-based Flight Management reporting and CASS governance, and training spanned maintenance and operations teams to align workflows and data governance within Collins ARINCDirect FOS.

Pentastar Aviation | Transportation | 300 | $67M | United States | Collins Aerospace | Collins ARINCDirect FOS | Flight Management | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017 Pentastar Aviation implemented Collins ARINCDirect FOS to centralize flight scheduling and operational control under a Flight Management deployment at Oakland County International Airport. The Collins ARINCDirect FOS implementation was positioned as the operational scheduling and flight operations backbone supporting Flight Operations, Trip Coordinators, Flight Dispatch, Charter Sales, Maintenance, Line Service, Catering, and flight crews.
Configuration and functional modules focused on core Flight Management capabilities including flight scheduling, flight tracking, automated flight planning, weight and balance computations, crew duty monitoring, international flight planning and charter handoff workflows. Collins ARINCDirect FOS was used to support CFR Part 91 and Part 135 operational requirements and to maintain operational documentation for managed aircraft such as customs bonds, overflight permits, airworthiness documentation and company manuals.
Reporting and data extraction workflows were implemented alongside FOS, with custom Crystal reports used to gather operational data from Collins ARINCDirect FOS and QuickBase reports designed to monitor managed customer activity, OCC workload, dispatch reliability and event irregularities. The FOS deployment supported international coordination processes including crew travel arrangements, customs and APIS handling, arrival and departure slot coordination, and ground handling logistics as part of trip planning and execution.
Governance and process changes included a formalized charter handoff process, trip expense review and auditing for each flight, and proactive schedule monitoring for crew duty constraints, NOTAMs and TFRs. A workload forecasting model driven by FOS scheduling activity was used to justify staffing changes, resulting in the addition of two full time flight dispatchers, two full time trip coordinators and the creation of a flight dispatcher intern program.
