In 2018 Latitude Financial Services migrated its Falcon Security Surveillance Video Surveillance System into the DXC Burwood Data Centre. The Falcon Security Surveillance migration was executed as part of a consolidated move of customer facing environments including Credit cards on IBM Z-series and Loans on AS400, run as an eight month program from October 2018 to May 2019 with a $2M project budget.
Project governance was led by a Senior Project Manager who coordinated DXC and LFS teams of approximately 30 resources through design, build, plan and test phases to produce structured pre migration and cutover plans. The implementation included a full audit and reverse engineering of the AS400 environment to map networking, configuration and dependencies, procurement of equivalent hardware, and onsite installation to provision the Falcon Security Surveillance infrastructure.
Configuration and operationalization of Falcon Security Surveillance as a Video Surveillance System followed category standard capabilities, including camera and device management, continuous video capture, centralized storage and retention configuration, and footage retrieval workflows to support security operations. The deployment was aligned to the DXC data centre networking and storage topology to preserve interdependencies with co located IBM Z-series and AS400 workloads and to ensure operational continuity across customer facing financial services.
Rollout governance emphasized staged testing, pre migration validation and improved communication channels between Client, Technology and vendor teams to manage execution risk and schedule.
