UNIQA Insurance Hungary | Insurance | 620 | $100M | Hungary | In-House Applications | i2i Claims | Insurance Claims Management | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017 UNIQA Insurance Hungary implemented i2i Claims in the Insurance Claims Management category as an in-house mobile inspection and claims intake capability. The launch was informed by market research conducted with GFK Market Research Institute which showed 90 percent touchscreen smartphone ownership among respondents, 51 percent awareness of online claim reporting on the UNIQA website, 10 percent prior usage of the online reporting service, 87 percent willingness to use online reporting for future claims, and 40 percent readiness to use mobile phone video expert inspection for property damage, and the project was introduced in collaboration with DEKRA-Expert Kft.
The deployment centered on a mobile video expert inspection workflow, combining client-facing mobile capture with an adjuster review interface and pre-arranged inspection scheduling to accelerate property claim inspections. UNIQA configured i2i Claims to support rapid photo and video evidence intake at scheduled times, integrated the captured media into adjuster workflows for remote assessment, and embedded scheduling and examiner confirmation to meet client time constraints.
Operational coverage targeted property insurance claims and was adopted across the retail insurance and claims settlement organization, with claim adjusters and customers explicitly named as primary users. The implementation was delivered in-house with operational collaboration from DEKRA-Expert Kft., and the application was positioned to reduce the necessity of personal expert inspections when conditions allowed, leveraging client mobile devices for onsite documentation.
Governance and rollout emphasized usability and consumer security concerns identified by the research, including differential adoption patterns noted between men and women, and the need to address perceived theft and data misuse risks. The i2i Claims application immediately gained popularity among adjusters and clients, and UNIQA reported that the tool made inspections faster and simplified the claim handling process, thereby supporting faster settlement timelines.
