Bosch Thermotechnik Germany | Manufacturing | 14600 | $5.4B | Germany | Kittelberger | Kittelberger PIM | Product Information Management | 2020 | n/a | In 2020, Bosch Thermotechnik Germany began implementation of Kittelberger PIM in the Product Information Management category to support after sales and service parts workflows. The vendor implemented its advastamedia PIM to underpin an interactive online spare parts catalog for Bosch Thermotechnik in the after sales and process area. Functional capabilities implemented include interactive exploded parts views, indexed search and dynamic document generation, consistent with Product Information Management workflows. The PIM served as the canonical product data repository feeding the WebETK presentation layer. The PIM backed WebETK went live in May 2021, operating primarily in Bosch Thermotechnik Germany’s after sales and process area to simplify parts lookup for technicians. Architecture and deployment combined the Kittelberger PIM backend, a web front end for hotspot and catalog rendering, an Elasticsearch search tier, and real time PDF generation components. Post go live the implementation also supported additional data quality tooling and preparation for phased rollouts to other countries and brands. Planned rollouts to other countries and brands indicate the implementation was scoped for multi brand and multi country expansion while retaining central product data governance in the Kittelberger PIM. The configuration emphasized product data quality, catalog usability for field technicians and automated generation of parts documentation. | |
