Concordia Versicherungen Insurance 1109 $289M Germany msg life msg.Billing Insurance Billing Administration 2022 n/a
In 2022, Concordia Versicherungen adopted msg.Billing as part of the msg.Insurance Suite P&C for Insurance Billing Administration. The program initiated a greenfield build of a new AWL Composite application landscape provisioned for cloud operation from the outset, designed to consolidate composite P&C operations and enable a product centric approach to underwriting, billing and claims workflows. The deployment implemented msg.Billing incl. intermediary current account alongside core suite modules including msg.Business Partner, msg.Workflow, msg.PMQ as the product server, msg.GDPR, msg.P&C Factory and msg.Digital Business Services, and opened integration pathways to the msg.Health Factory. The implementation delivered a front end for immediate claims settlement within FNOL processes and configured product change via msg.PMQ to minimize bespoke development through configuration and generation. Integration work emphasized extensive API capabilities and links to Concordia systems and new cross functional infrastructure, including SAP ICM and BSI CRM, input management, text and printing services, archiving and a new data warehouse. Existing products and contracts were transferred into the AWL Composite using migration products modeled in msg.PMQ, and the program ran in parallel with the existing application landscape during a planned seven release rollout, with the first release delivered on April 26, 2025 and two new products launched. Governance followed structured test management, interdisciplinary teams from specialist departments and IT, and early involvement of Concordia staff, with a collaborative implementation model with msg nexinsure. The msg.Billing implementation is positioned to support faster product development, improved operational efficiency, real time customer and sales partner experiences and improved data quality as Concordia expands the composite insurance application landscape in subsequent releases.
