Uniqa Asigurari Insurance 1000 $205M Romania In-House Applications sClaims Insurance Claims Management 2020 n/a
In 2020, Uniqa Asigurari deployed sClaims, an Insurance Claims Management application. sClaims is implemented as a module of the sCore system and is used across the SEE region to provide end to end claims lifecycle management, covering claims notification, adjustment and payment for all types of insurance and associated activities. The sClaims implementation is structured into several submodules that align with core claims workflows. ClaimsInfo handles multi channel claim intake by phone, email, mail, Viber, online, fax or in person, plus scheduling of vehicle and property damage assessment and operation of the MedUNIQA contact center on a 24/7 basis. The Claims submodule delivers processing, adjustment, payment, recourse handling and court case trial monitoring, and it includes calculations based on the assessment or opinion of the censor doctor. The Complaints component provides a central registry for acceptance, processing and resolution of complaints in accordance with legal deadlines. Architecturally, sClaims is delivered as a mix of Windows and Web applications built on Microsoft technologies such as .NET and SQL Server. The implementation includes Win, WCF and REST services for communicating with external systems and supports integration to policies systems and the business entities database, as well as a connection to a DMS system for working with electronic documents. The application supports multilingual user interfaces, multiple currencies and multi client configurations, and it can be customized to meet specific operational requirements. Operational governance is reinforced through data historization and users activities auditing, structured reporting for UNIQA Group and regulatory bodies, and automated generation and sending of customer correspondence by email and mail. The system centralizes complaint handling and enforces legal timeframes for resolution, while the submodule architecture enables insurers to concentrate on core underwriting and claims decisions by covering the complete process from notification through settlement.
