Aldi UK | Retail | 44475 | $22.8B | United Kingdom | Syniti | Syniti Knowledge Platform | Master Data Management | 2018 | n/a |
Aldi UK implemented the Syniti Knowledge Platform in 2018 as its Master Data Management solution, replacing a legacy system. ALDI USA | Retail | 20000 | $5.0B | United States | Syniti | Syniti Knowledge Platform | Master Data Management | 2024 | n/a |
In 2024, ALDI USA implemented Syniti Knowledge Platform as a Master Data Management solution to migrate Material Master and SD objects into SAP S/4 HANA. The engagement was scoped to ensure Material Master correctness for procurement and supply chain business functions, with a focus on extraction, transformation, validation, and controlled loading into S/4 HANA.
The implementation centered on the Syniti Advanced Data Migration framework, with migration development performed in DSP and SQL driven extraction logic. Workstreams included designing source to target mappings, developing transformation rules to standardize material attributes, creating data validation DSP reports for business validation, and preparing load files and LSMW batch input recordings for MM objects. SAP MDM was used to cleanse and standardize material records, reducing duplicates and harmonizing taxonomy prior to loads, and Syniti Knowledge Platform was used to generate preload and post-load data quality and validation reports.
Integrations and technical touch points cited in the engagement included Microsoft SQL as the RDBMS, SAP BODS for additional ETL tasks, SAP MDM for cleansing, and SAP S/4 HANA as the target system. Loading approaches combined Syniti ADM outputs with SAP loading tools including Data Migration Cockpit, LTMOM, LTMC, and LSMW recordings to execute batch uploads and validations, while business users were engaged for release-based validations and signoff.
Governance was driven by cross-functional scoping and requirements sessions, translating business rules into SQL and DSP artifacts, and sharing Data Quality and Validation reports with business stakeholders. The role listed was Senior Consultant, with the engagement duration from March 2024 to July 2024, covering migration development, validation reporting, and release support for Material Master data governance.

American Airlines | Transportation | 136900 | $54.2B | United States | Syniti | Syniti Knowledge Platform | Master Data Management | 2020 | n/a |
American Airlines implemented the Syniti Knowledge Platform in 2020 to support Project Spring, the post merger initiative to consolidate HR and payroll data across more than 130,000 active employees and 500,000 former employees. The effort centralized employee and payroll master data onto SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud Platform as a single cloud based HR and payroll solution, positioning the engagement as a Master Data Management program for HR and payroll domains.
Syniti Knowledge Platform was deployed using SAP Advanced Data Migration by Syniti to execute extraction, transformation and load processes, and to serve as the web based control plane for constructed data collection, mapping rules, workflows and manager approvals. Implemented functional capabilities included automated data quality metrics, preload error checks, aggregation of load failures, open defect tracking, field level mapping and validation, and designation of an accountable data owner for each SuccessFactors field. The implementation covered SuccessFactors modules Talent, Recruiting & Onboarding, and Employee Central, along with payroll processing routed to HANA Enterprise Cloud.
Integrations consolidated records from SAP HCM, Oracle HR and multiple supporting systems into SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, with cutover extraction activity spanning seven source and target systems. Syniti operated within a core data team model alongside American Airlines, SAP, Deloitte and internal audit, engaging downstream consumers across payroll, benefits, compensation, 401k, tax, finance, IT and talent to align business rules and validation requirements. All data changes were logged and audited for traceability and compliance, and the platform produced comprehensive validation reporting to support error resolution.
Program reporting states the initiative extracted over 690 million records, created nearly 10,000 business rules and generated more than 2,600 reports to drive validation and remediation, converting data for over 335,000 current and former employees into SuccessFactors and migrating payroll for over 35,000 employees into HANA Enterprise Cloud. The deployment established proactive information governance, automated data quality dashboards and closed loop remediation practices, embedding Master Data Management capabilities into American Airlines HR and payroll operations.
