The work leveraged ANSYS HFSS full-wave 3D electromagnetic simulation capabilities, with frequency-domain solving, s-parameter extraction, far-field radiation pattern analysis, parametric sweeps and targeted meshing strategies to iterate designs and explore bandwidth and polarization tradeoffs. Simulation outputs for s-parameters and far-field patterns were directly compared with physical measurements, and the paper reports excellent correlation for both s-parameter and far-field results, validating the simulation-driven design and the iterative simulation, fabrication and measurement workflow used by the research group.
