Michelin Group | Automotive | 125000 | $18.9B | France | Oracle | Oracle Treasury | Treasury Management | 2008 | n/a | In 2008 Michelin Group implemented Oracle Treasury to address its Treasury Management requirements across corporate treasury and cash management functions. The deployment of Oracle Treasury was scoped to centralize treasury operations for Michelin Group, a large automotive company with approximately 125,000 employees, and to provide a consolidated platform for cash positioning and payments processing. The implementation configured standard Treasury Management modules including cash positioning and cash forecasting, bank account management, payments factory and payment workflow automation, in-house banking and intercompany netting, and treasury accounting and reporting. Configuration work emphasized bank file format support and automated reconciliation to reduce manual cash reporting, while treasury reporting and dashboards were instrumented for corporate finance consumption. Project management coordination explicitly included Oracle CE and Sungard Quantum implementation activities, and the Oracle Treasury rollout was integrated with those program streams. The technical architecture supported interfaces to corporate ERP systems and bank connectivity channels to enable payment execution and bank statement ingestion, using category-aligned treasury connectivity patterns. Governance changes focused on centralizing authorization workflows and standardizing treasury controls across Treasury, Cash Management, and Corporate Finance teams. The program approach used staged module activation and coordinated project management to align operational processes with the Oracle Treasury configuration. | |
