In 2013, Wilson Sporting Goods deployed Yealink IP Phones as part of a telephony implementation built on 3CX in the PBX, VoiP and Phone Systems category. The Chicago, US deployment replaced an Avaya PBX and provisioned Yealink IP Phones for roughly 20 percent of the company's 350 deskphone estate.
The implementation centered on a 3CX call control platform integrated with Yealink IP Phones and 3CX softphone clients to provide centralized provisioning, call management and mobility capabilities. Configuration work included provisioning templates for Yealink IP Phones, softphone client rollout and central administration of extensions and call routing.
CrossRealms, a 3CX partner, executed the platform cutover and onsite provisioning for the Chicago office, establishing operational processes for device provisioning and platform updates. The rollout impacted corporate telephony operations and IT administration for the deployed phone estate, consolidating endpoint management under the 3CX platform.
Post deployment Wilson Sporting Goods maintained Yealink IP Phones as part of the 3CX telephony stack, and reported outcomes included lower maintenance costs, easier management and improved mobility through 3CX softphone clients. Governance shifted toward centralized management and ongoing vendor coordination with CrossRealms for support and platform maintenance.
