In 2022 Riot Games implemented Kyriba Treasury to centralize its Treasury Management capabilities across a global publishing footprint. The deployment was positioned to give the treasury team real time centralized cash visibility and to automate investment workflows for multiple publishing entities covering the Americas, European Union, South Korea, Japan and Singapore, and to manage a multi currency environment including US dollars, euros, Japanese yen, UK sterling, Korean won and the Singapore dollar plus up to ten additional currencies.
The Kyriba Treasury implementation was executed in phases, with phase one delivering cash management, cash forecasting, bank account management, payments and bank fee analysis modules to consolidate data from roughly 150 global bank accounts. Kyriba provided project management support to ensure milestone governance and to limit disruption to a lean treasury team, enabling the organization to move from fragmented spreadsheet and multi bank reporting to a centralized treasury application architecture that supports realtime cash reporting and ongoing configuration of treasury workflows.
Riot Games also onboarded the ICD Portal as an independent investment portal and integration partner for short term European investment execution and research. The ICD Portal onboarding followed a five step process coordinated by the ICD team and went live in days, enabling centralized research, ticketed trading and consolidated transaction and valuation reporting that the accounting team consumes for month end and investment compliance checks.
Operational rollout required targeted bank onboarding work, notably with some Asian banking partners where SWIFT and standards alignment required escalation and additional coordination to map statement formats and connectivity. Governance moved beyond data aggregation to include phased rollout across international subsidiaries with plans for additional Kyriba modules for cash accounting, multilateral netting and in house banking to support intercompany activity and intragroup liquidity management.
The combined Kyriba Treasury and ICD Portal implementation materially shortened month end cash reporting from three days to less than one hour, reduced excess global cash balances through more active investment execution, and freed treasury resources to focus on cash forecasting, liquidity planning and portfolio analysis. Riot Games continues to evaluate further integration between Oracle used by finance and accounting and its Kyriba Treasury and ICD Portal stack to extend end to end treasury to general ledger workflows.
