Utilities | 2127 | $1.5B | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close | Financial Consolidation and Close | 2019 |
In 2019 Bloom Energy implemented Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close as part of a broader Oracle Cloud SaaS and PaaS rollout to address disjointed applications and reporting fragmentation. The deployment of Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close targeted centralization of consolidation and close workflows within Bloom Energy’s finance organization, responding to an environment where customizations in the existing EBS footprint had become difficult to maintain and where separate systems required extra steps to produce management-ready reports.
The implementation was delivered as a wave one service set that included Oracle Financials, Procurement, Self Service Procurement, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Performance Management, with Financial Consolidation and Close configured to support period close orchestration, intercompany eliminations, and centralized financial reporting. Reporting and analysis capabilities were implemented using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence to expose real-time subject areas to business users, combined with Oracle Financial Reporting Studio and custom reports to produce simplified, consumable financial statements for finance and management teams.
Architecture and integration design used a two-phase SaaS and PaaS approach aligned to Oracle release cycles, with Jade Global designing and deploying PaaS components such as Java Cloud Service, Database Cloud Service, and Data Visualization Cloud Service to host required customizations. Oracle SOA Suite and SOA Cloud Service were used as the integration backbone to provision APIs, run integration projects, and provide real-time analytics, enabling automated synchronization between custom applications and Oracle Cloud and reducing manual reconciliation steps.
Governance and rollout were organized by Jade Global with a phased roadmap that mapped each service to specific Oracle releases, and a second wave planned for demand planning, sales and operational planning, install base and service contracts, enterprise access management, and EPBCS. Operational impact focused on finance, procurement, and supply chain functions, with process simplification for reporting and a move toward a single, real-time source of financial information for business leaders, while OTBI and FR Studio reduced complexity for nontechnical report authors.

Professional Services | 58604 | $86.0B | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | 2019 |
In 2019, Facebook, Inc. implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as a targeted finance transformation initiative. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment, classified as ERP Financial, migrated financial processing from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP and focused on consolidating core accounting workflows for GL, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
The implementation covered Enterprise Fusion Financials modules including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Order Orchestration, Fusion Procurement, sourcing and supplier portal capabilities. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured with Financial Reporting Studio, BI Publisher, OTBI and Smart View for reporting, and Oracle Cloud ESS and BIP jobs were used for scheduled batch processing. Financial data loading and conversion used FBDI and ADFDI templates, and custom BI reports and ESS jobs were developed to retrofit EBS reports into the Fusion reporting stack.
Integrations were designed to ingest transactional and master data from adjacent systems including Workday and SAP Concur, and to consume bank reconciliation files from AMEX and HSBC. Integration architecture used Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud Service, ICS, Oracle SOA Cloud Service and on-prem SOA Suite components with REST, SOAP, FTP and adapter-based connections including a Salesforce adapter. Data migration workstreams automated conversion flows for suppliers, purchase orders, receipts, invoices and bank entities, and included pre and post validation runs for multiple entities.
Governance and operational rollout included creation of custom security constructs by defining job, duty and data roles using APM, OIM and the Fusion security console, and configuration of Concur as a global travel and expense solution with policy, audit rules and approval workflows for new countries and operating units. The engagement involved an implementation services partner, Jade Global, coordination with external auditors and banks for reconciliation and compliance, and ongoing Concur administration and integration design to support travel related financial transactions within Oracle Cloud ERP.
