Toll Group | Transportation | 16000 | $4.9B | Australia | OneStream Software LLC | OneStream XF | EPM | 2019 | In 2019, Toll Group implemented OneStream XF as its enterprise EPM platform, engaging James & Monroe to lead the deployment on a Cloud-based MS Azure architecture. The program consolidated the companywide financial close and statutory consolidation into a single system, addressing the complexity of its previous Oracle Hyperion and EPM Cloud landscape and fulfilling Japan Post J-SOX internal control requirements. The OneStream XF implementation delivered core modules for consolidated financial close, statutory and management reporting, and budgeting and forecasting. Toll Group extended the initial build with a Tax Effective Accounting solution and enhancements including bottom-up budgeting models, guided workflows, foreign exchange model scenarios, and a Global Logistics customer profitability model, leveraging OneStream XF and Extensible Dimensionality to standardize reporting hierarchies. Architecturally the deployment used a unified OneStream XF platform hosted on MS Azure to reduce the number of integrations and data mapping points that had been contributing to month-end complexity. The project automated data loads, improved data quality controls, and removed large volumes of manual Excel data handling, centralizing transactional consolidation and reporting flows into the Cloud-hosted environment. Operational coverage centralized statutory consolidation and reporting with a single Group Finance team responsible for all legal entities, while divisional finance resources retained responsibility for local budgeting, forecasting, and ledger reporting development. The implementation coordinated geographically dispersed business units across Toll Group’s global footprint and established governance changes to improve oversight on compliance activities and results analysis. Outcomes described by Toll Group include improved data quality, insight and process control, enhanced accuracy and timeliness of reporting, and reduced IT support and third-party application support costs due to the MS Azure hosting model. Toll is also piloting OneStream MarketPlace solutions for Account Reconciliations and Transaction Matching and evaluating future extensions such as Cash Planning, treasury schedules and tax compliance reporting within the OneStream XF environment. |
