The deployment encompassed PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, HCM, Finance, and Interaction Hub running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and aligns with their ERP Financial application footprint. SPC upgraded to PeopleTools 8.58 and deployed Fluid UI across the enterprise portal in March 2021. The PeopleTools 8.58 upgrade included adoption of PUSH notification to consolidate notifications from all product pillars and replace the classic worklist functionality, and PUM patching was carried out to reach image 36. The environment architecture reflects an earlier migration to OCI in March 2019 when SPC moved PeopleSoft infrastructure from on-premises to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, converting web and application servers from Windows bare metal and VMs to Linux VMs in OCI. OCI services were used to enhance disaster and business recovery strategy and to improve efficiencies in infrastructure management, environment provisioning, and maintenance. Sierra-Cedar provided consulting services during the OCI migration and PeopleTools upgrade, and SPC partnered with SpearMC to execute an HCM transformation that implemented Personnel Actions using Guided Self-Service for Managers. The HCM project replaced an in-house MS Access database system named PAAR, set up Guided Self Service for 12 personnel action request types, configured dynamic transaction specific approvals and email notifications with up to five approval levels, and implemented Fluid Delegation Framework to enable senior managers to delegate to department administrators. The Guided Self Service implementation extended capabilities to support hire, rehire, additional job, additional pay, and position requests, using Fluid drop zones to add multiple custom fields and Page Composer to expose custom fields on fluid approval pages. Delivered GSS functionality consolidated standalone processes into the PeopleSoft HR system and the project went live in March 2021.

Technical extensibility used Fluid drop zones and Page Composer to add multiple custom fields to GSS pages and to surface custom fields on fluid approval pages. The consolidated GSS functionality replaced an in house MS Access Personnel Actions and Approval Routing system and centralized those HR processes within the PeopleSoft HR system, with the HCM project going live in March, 2021. Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions remains the core Student Information application supporting SPCs student administration and HR business functions.
