In 2021, Tele2 implemented Boomi AtomSphere. Tele2 deployed Boomi AtomSphere as an API Management,iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solution to unify HR, finance, and partner data across its operations in Sweden and eight Baltic and Nordic markets, connecting more than 12 applications to create a single source of truth for employee and partner information.
The implementation used Boomi Integration to orchestrate the end to end hiring workflow and synchronize identity, directory, personnel management, and payroll systems, Boomi Master Data Hub to create golden records with real time validation, enrichment, and data matching, and Boomi B2B/EDI Management to automate EDI exchanges with external partners. Boomi AtomSphere runtime components provided continuous data orchestration and processing across HR and finance domains, reducing manual handoffs and enabling standardized data formats.
Solita served as the implementation partner for the project. Key integrations explicitly included HR systems such as identity management, directory management, personnel management, and payroll, and external ecosystem connections to POS vendors, phone and prepaid card manufacturers, warehouses, delivery partners, financial systems, and analytics systems. The Boomi B2B/EDI Management configuration implemented support for a variety of EDI standards to automate sharing of sales and inventory data from POS systems into Tele2 internal warehouse and financial systems.
Governance focused on centralized master data management and orchestrated workflows to meet local hiring legal requirements across countries, with the Boomi Master Data Hub providing a governed golden record strategy. Outcomes provided in the program documentation include elimination of data silos across identity, directory, personnel management, and payroll systems, streamlined onboarding in eight countries, automated ordering and EDI based partner communications, and improved visibility into inventory and order flows.
