In 2020, 360 Energy Liability Management deployed Plooto to support AP Automation,AR Automation workflows. The deployment centered on accounts payable operations run from the Calgary, AB office and extended procedural support to billing and general administrative functions within the finance department. 360 Energy Liability Management implemented Plooto as the primary application for payment orchestration and accounts receivable tracking, with Plooto used alongside OpenInvoice, CORE and QuickBooks in daily transaction processing.
Configuration emphasized invoice intake and validation capabilities consistent with AP Automation,AR Automation, including invoice matching to entered system records, verification of approval signatures and UWI coding, and staged approval routing for third party and outside vendor invoices. The application was applied to manage payment initiation and supplier remittance workflows while preserving filing systems and records, and to support continuous supplier statement review and resolution of invoice discrepancies.
Operational integration focused on day to day use by Accounts Payable Administrators who processed vendor correspondence, managed email communications, performed data entry and reporting with Microsoft Office, and provided ongoing support to billings and other departmental areas. Plooto coexisted in the finance technology stack with OpenInvoice, CORE and QuickBooks, with users operating across invoice submission, matching and payment steps rather than as a standalone isolated tool.
Governance and process controls implemented alongside Plooto reinforced coding and approval checks, maintenance of filing and record keeping, and established routine workflows for matching incoming invoices and resolving vendor queries. The implementation narrative reflects an operationalization of AP Automation,AR Automation capabilities at a mid market professional services firm, with emphasis on invoice processing discipline, payment orchestration and cross application operational use.
