| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Office Depot implemented Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable as part of an AP Automation program. The work took place in an Oracle R13 PaaS finance environment and was scoped across core financial and supply chain domains supporting corporate finance operations in the United States.
Configuration and functional design included rapid auto configuration of General Ledger using standard templates, extensive setup of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management, and detailed configuration for sourcing, Purchase Order, Inventory, Order Management, Pricing and Project modules. Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable was configured to support invoice ingestion via FBDI, analytics and operational reporting through OTBI, and sub ledger accounting flows for inventory cost and accruals reconciliation.
Integration activity centered on Oracle Cloud Fusion integration with external systems and analysis of existing custom objects for migration to PaaS to retain required business logic. Purchasing system configuration covered catalog and non catalog requisition flows and purchase order processing, and Orchestration processes were designed to align global order execution with the financial posting model. The implementation impacted finance, procurement, order management and FP&A functions.
Governance and rollout artifacts included creation of Oracle Functional Flow Builder deliverables, OATS based functional test scripts, user manuals and end user training addressing UI changes, FBDI and OTBI usage. Financial control and reconciliation patterns were implemented using Account Reconciliation Cloud Services integrated with the sub ledger, and Budget and Actuals variance reporting by PTD QTD and YTD was configured to support FP&A reporting requirements.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Office Depot implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management to address Absence and Leave Management across its HR and payroll functions. The initiative was delivered as part of an Oracle Fusion HCM program with work performed at Office Depot Boca Raton, FL and used Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as the core application for absence tracking and policy enforcement.
The implementation configured a broad set of HCM modules including Core HR, SSHR, Performance Management, iRecruitment, Compensation Workbench, Time and Attendance, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, and Taleo Learn where applicable. Functional Setup Manager was used to provision Global HR settings, manage geographies and implementation users, and configure Absence Management rules, fast formulas and Business Process Framework workflows to validate and route absence transactions.
Integrations were executed through Oracle HCM Extracts and interfaces, specifically HCM Extracts for Global HR, Payroll Interface and Fusion Benefits, and BI Publisher reports and analytics for operational reporting. The program included a data conversion effort to reconcile and load master HR data from Oracle EBS into Oracle Fusion HCM, and built report and interface artifacts to support payroll, benefits and HR downstream processes.
Governance and rollout included structured requirement gathering, BRD documentation, prototypes and workflow diagrams, UAT sessions with key users and production cutover with post production support. Security and access controls were created using custom data roles, security profiles, job roles, application roles and duty roles, and workflow condition rules were defined to guide approvals and data validation. Workstreams followed AGILE practices across multiple concurrent projects and included formal testing, patching and upgrade validation.
Post go live the deployment sustained production support including problem resolution and configuration adjustments, with a noted go live that proceeded with minimal issues in post production support. Absence Management was configured and adjusted to comply with evolving business requirements and payroll validation and troubleshooting was part of ongoing operational support.

| Bloomberg | Legacy | Bloomberg Tax Fixed Assets | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Office Depot implemented Bloomberg Tax Fixed Assets within its Asset Performance Management stack. The deployment was anchored in the corporate tax organization in Boca Raton and aligned with both Non Income Tax and Income Tax functions, reflecting an operational scope that included nationwide state registrations and management of business licensing across all 50 states.
Bloomberg Tax Fixed Assets was configured to support fixed asset inventory control, tax basis tracking, depreciation and tax reporting workflows, and fixed asset reconciliations used for consolidated federal, state and local filings. Configuration emphasized workpaper and upload automation to streamline return preparation, and the platform was used to manage fixed asset analysis for tax and reporting purposes alongside third party property tax rendition preparation.
Operationally the application sat in an environment that also included OneSource, Vertex, Oracle and SAP systems and existing BNA fixed assets usage, enabling tax teams to coordinate asset data, return uploads and audit documentation across those tools. The implementation supported ongoing interactions with taxing jurisdictions and IRS CAP engagement, and it underpinned processes for registering newly acquired entities and responding to information requests from multiple jurisdictions.
Governance focused on centralizing fixed asset tax workflows under a small specialist team, with a manager overseeing a team of six who handled high volume sales and use activity and who trained junior staff on workpaper and reconciliation practices. Reported process improvements from the rollout included reduced filing time by two weeks and earlier return submission driven by improved workpapers and upload processes.
