Sage Sage 1000 Sage 200 ERP Financial ERP Financial Management CPiO 2020 2020
In 2020 AD Aerospace implemented Sage 200cloud, deploying Sage 200 as its ERP Financial platform. The project followed an ownership change at the Cheshire headquartered manufacturer, which had been operating a heavily customised Sage 1000 installation inherited from former owners and supporting supply and operational activities across two sites with approximately 25 additional applications. The incumbent environment was assessed as no longer fit for purpose by Sara Einollahi, Director of Finance and Operations, prompting a vendor partner review and selection of Sage Business Partner CPiO. Initial engagement began as a finance refresh requirement but quickly expanded to a broader ERP remit as gaps in integration and maintainability were identified. CPiO configured an end to end Sage 200cloud deployment incorporating Finance, Commercials, Bill of Materials, Manufacturing and the Eureka Plus Pack modules. The implementation emphasized integrated transactional finance and manufacturing workflows, consolidating costing, inventory and commercial processes within a single application stack rather than maintaining separate manufacturing software. CPiO leveraged its knowledge of both Sage 1000 and Sage 200cloud to map data structures and functional gaps, enabling configuration of standard ERP Financial ledgers, purchasing to payables flows, and production bill of materials logic consistent with manufacturing site operations. Operational coverage targeted finance, supply chain, commercial teams and shop floor manufacturing functions across AD Aerospace sites, reducing reliance on the prior constellation of point solutions. The deployment approach shifted the program from a finance only rollout to a unified ERP footprint, simplifying integrations and day to day application support under a single Sage 200cloud environment. CPiO acted as the implementation partner throughout the program, engaging consultants to challenge existing processes and align system configuration to the company business model. Governance and change centered on replacing a heavily customised inherited system with a supported Sage 200 solution, standardising processes and reducing total cost of ownership compared with the previously proposed standalone systems. AD Aerospace cited CPiO consultants taking time to understand the business and delivering a complete system that meets operational and financial requirements. The implementation directly impacts finance, operations, manufacturing and commercial functions and consolidates transactional and production workflows into the Sage 200cloud ERP Financial platform.
