In 2024, A-Gas Americas implemented Yooz AP Automation to modernize its accounts payable workflows and support operations spanning the United States and Canada. By September 2024 the company completed a three month program from kickoff to go-live, deploying the Yooz AP Automation platform to process roughly 4,500 invoices per month for its Bowling Green, OH site and global finance team that runs Sage Intacct as the ERP system.
The Yooz AP Automation deployment emphasized invoice capture, automated coding, configurable approval workflows, and collaboration features including tagging and commenting embedded in the invoice record. Configuration work focused on mapping more than 100 unique approval workflows into the Yooz platform without costly customizations, and the implementation team tuned automated routing and exception handling so approvers received actionable tasks rather than raw documents.
Integration work centered on two system touchpoints, the invoice intake layer and Sage Intacct, with Yooz AP Automation synchronized to post approved transactions into Sage Intacct to remove double data entry. A-Gas had previously relied on a basic invoice approval tool called DocRecord that did not integrate with Sage Intacct and required duplicate entry, a shortcoming addressed by the Yooz integration. Training was delivered to over 100 approvers across multiple U.S. time zones to align operational usage and cutover procedures.
Governance and operational changes included shifting the AP team from transactional data entry to review and exception management, establishing centralized visibility for managers, and standardizing month-end invoice access for variance analysis and audit support. Corporate Controller Megan Rice and AP Specialist Amanda Marable reported that real-time access to invoices, approvals, and comments reduced manual chase activity and improved audit readiness.
A-Gas Americas plans to extend Yooz AP Automation beyond core invoice processing to additional finance processes such as gas credit calculations, leveraging the platform s workflow flexibility to further streamline finance operations while maintaining continuity with Sage Intacct.
